Henson Chips Up with Rivered Straight

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Raymond Henson: {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}/{a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}/{q-Spades}
Patrick Megna: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}/{7-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}/{8-Diamonds}

Patrick Megna bet on fifth and sixth streets and was called twice by Ray Henson who had aces showing. Both players checked on seventh street.

Megna tabled his trip tens but that was no good as Henson showed the straight. "ah you rivered a straight" said Magna with a frown as he mucked his cards and sent the decent pot over to Henson.

Mori Eskandani: {x-}{x-} / {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} / {x-}
Brad Ruben: {x-}{x-} / {q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades} / {x-}

On seventh street, Poker Hall of Famer Mori Eskandani bet and after a few moments contemplation, four-time WSOP bracelet winner Brad Ruben made the call.

"Good call," said Eskandani showing {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for downcards full of puppy dog feet. Ruben meanwhile turned over {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a pair of queens, but couldn't resist waggling the six in his opponent's direction.

Tedeschi Takes a Shot

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Paul-Francois Tedeschi: {4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}/{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}/{j-Spades}
Scott Adaska: {6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}/{8-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}/{5-Hearts}

On fifth and sixth street Scott Adaska bet 8,000 and Paul-Francois Tedeschi called each time. On seventh street, Adaska checked to open it up to Tedeschi who took the opportunity to bet 8,000 himself. Adaska called and tabled a pair of eights which was good enough as Tedeschi had busted flush and straight draws.

Andrew Kelsall was all in for 11,000 with the dealer running out the boards against Phillip Hui.

Andrew Kelsall: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts} / {x-}
Phillip Hui: {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{q-Spades} / {x-}

It was unclear what each player's down cards were, but by seventh street Kelsall was ahead with ace-queen high after neither player had made a pair.

Hui pulled the {8-Diamonds} on seventh street giving him king-high.

"You mean I don't have to look?" said Kelsall, turning over the {8-Spades} and doubling up.
