Kempe Applies Pressure

Level 7 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Action folded around to Felipe Ketzer in the small blind and he limped. Rainer Kempe raised to 32,000 out of the big blind only to see Ketzer re-raise to 60,000. Kempe made the call to send the two players to the flop.

Both players checked through the {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop to see the {a-Hearts} turn where each player again checked. The river came {3-Spades} and Ketzer, tired of checking, led out for 26,000. Kempe mulled over his options for some time before moving almost his entire stack into the middle. That got an instant fold from Ketzer to send the sizable pot the German pro's way.
