Hellmuth Calls River, Runs into Saliba Full House

Level 13 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Justin Saliba
Justin Saliba

With around 300,000 in the pot on a {6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{10-Spades} board, Phil Hellmuth put out a bet of 120,000 from early position.

Justin Saliba, on the button, was forced to use a time bank chip before settling on a raise of 370,000.

Hellmuth then crossed his arms and went into the tank, going over all the possibilities before eventually making the call after over two-and-a-half minutes.

Saliba showed {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, much to the dismay of Hellmuth, who also had to surrender five of his valuable time back chips.

Mateos Doubles Through Zhang

Level 13 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Adrian Mateos from under the gun found himself all in and at risk against Chuan Hao Zhang on the button.

Adrian Mateos: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Chuan Hao Zhang: {a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}

Mateos had his opponent dominated and was in a good spot to score the full double. He did just that after the board ran out {7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} to leave Zhang short.

Level 13 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

With around 300,000 already in the pot on a {k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} board, Gregory Jensen, from early position, made it 175,000. Joao Vieira, in the big blind, made the call.

On the {3-Hearts} river, Jensen fired once more, this time for 225,000. Vieira took a few seconds before making the call with {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}.

Jensen showed {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the failed bluff and Vieira took his stack to roughly 2,600,000.

Vieira Hits Quads To Eliminate Kabrhel

Level 13 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Martin Kabrhel had gotten off to a great start, tripling up early in the day. His tournament came to an abrupt end shortly thereafter, however, courtesy of Joao Vieira.

Picking up the action on the river, Vieira in the cutoff checked to Kabrhel on the button with the board reading {4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Kabrhel moved all in and Vieira snapped it off, turning over {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Though it was not immediately clear what Kabrhel's hole cards were, another player at the table was kind enough to inform PokerNews that the Czech pro had made a flush to setup a massive cooler.

Kabrhel Earns Early Triple Up

Level 13 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Nick Petrangelo shoved his final 320,000 from under the gun and the small blind shoved his final 230,000. Martin Kabrhel also came along for his last 275,000 from the big blind.

Small Blind: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Martin Kabrhel: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Nick Petrangelo: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The flop came {2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} putting Kabrhel firmly out in front.

The {5-Clubs} turn was no help to anyone chasing and the {9-Diamonds} river gave Kabrhel an early triple up to start his Day 2.

Zack Loses It All To Jensen

Level 13 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Dan Zack
Dan Zack

Dan Zack found himself all in and at risk from the small blind against Gregory Jensen in the big blind.

Dan Zack: {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Gregory Jensen: {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

Zack was behind but had two live cards. Unfortunately for him, the {4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{k-Spades} flop immediately left him drawing very thin. No running miracle cards came on the {a-Spades} turn or {2-Hearts} river, bringing Zack's day to a swift close.

Elsewhere Ben Heath was seen exiting the tournament area having re-entered at the start of the day.
