Trips for the Takedown

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

With five players preflop and around 3,000 in the middle the flop came down {q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. The small blind bet 1,200 which had Kelly Minkin, the hijack and Adam Brownstone on the button all calling.

Another 1,200 bet from the small blind when the {3-Spades} turn showed up had Minkin folding while the two remaining players made the call.

An {a-Hearts} showed up on the river and the small blind bet 2,400, once again receiving a call from both the hijack and Brownstone. The small blind flipped over {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a missed flush draw, leaving him with jack high. The hijack showed {q-Spades}{j-Clubs} for queens and fours and Brownstone showed the winner, {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} for trip fours to take down the multiway pot.
