Taylor Doubles Through Lam Before the Break

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Esther Taylor
Esther Taylor

No-Limit Hold'em

On the very last hand of the level, Vincent Lam raised to 400,000 and faced an all in from Esther Taylor in the small blind for 2,775,000. Lam tanked for a few minutes and eventually made the call:

Esther Taylor: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Vincent Lam: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

It was a typical flip situation and Taylor found a board {j-Spades}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, improving her hand into a full house to scoop the pot and double her stack.

Taylor Gets a Fold from Salazar

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Aden Salazar raised to 500,000 in the cutoff and after some consideration, Esther Taylor made the call.

The flop showed {6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Taylor shoved for 1,500,000, putting Salazar into a decision. After some friendly talking, both players decided to show their hands and Salazar made the fold before Taylor revealed {a-Spades}{8-Spades}.

"No way!" said Salazar, showing the best hand with {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}.

Richard Kellett Eliminated in 5th Place ($68,274)

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Richard Kellett
Richard Kellett

No-Limit Hold'em

Sandeep Pulusani open jammed from under the gun for 1,525,000. Richard Kellett rejammed on the button for 3,800,000. Aden Salazar, in the small blind, moved all in as well. Once Vincent Lam got out of the way from the big blind, it was showdown time.

Sandeep Pulusani: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Richard Kellett: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Aden Salazar: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

Salazar was ahead with his pocket pair and in position for a double knockout, but the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop gave Pulusani the nut flush and paired one of Kellett's over cards. The {9-Diamonds} turn changed nothing, but the {k-Hearts} river gave Salazar a flush as well to pull ahead of Kellett.

Pulusani scooped the main pot for a triple up, while the side pot went the way of Salazar. Kellett was left with nothing, and was knocked out of the tournament in 5th place.

Salazar Check-Raises Lam

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Vincent Lam min-raised under the gun to 400,000 and got called once again by Aden Salazar in the big blind. The flop gave {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and Salazar check-raised to 2,075,000 Lam's continuation bet of 425,000. Lam quickly let it go.

"Check-raise, check-raise, always check-raise" said Lam to Salazar. "What's your name again?" asked Esther Taylor. "Check-raise" replied Salazar jokingly to the table.

Noah Bronstein Eliminated in 6th Place ($51,372)

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Noah Bronstein
Noah Bronstein

No-Limit Hold'em

Noah Bronstein got all his remaining chips, around 1,000,000, in preflop from the big blind and got one caller, Vincent Lam in the small blind, who had Bronstein covered handily.

Noah Bronstein: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Vincent Lam: {j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

Bronstein was ahead and pulled farther ahead when the {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop gave him top pair and the nut flush draw, making him about a 4:1 favorite to survive and double up. Then, the {j-Diamonds} hit on the turn, giving Lam top pair and putting Bronstein behind, although he still had roughly 30% equity. The {q-Diamonds} on the river was a brick, and Lam scooped the pot to eliminate Bronstein in 6th place.

Another Pot between Salazar and Lam

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

In the small blind, Aden Salazar completed and called a raise from Vincent Lam to go see a flop {6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}. Salazar check-called Lam for 425,000.

The duo checked on the {4-Diamonds} turn and {8-Diamonds} river and Salazar quickly tabled {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for two pair Lam looked at his cards once more and sent them into the muck.

Pulusani Doubles Through Salazar

Level 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Aden Salazar opened from the cutoff to 500,000. He got one caller, Sandeep Pulusani in the big blind.

Salazar continued on the {8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop for 800,000. Pulusani moved all in and Salazar snap called.

Sandeep Pulusani: {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Aden Salazar: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{k-Spades}{6-Hearts}

Pulusani was out in front with his set of twos, and neither the {7-Spades} turn nor the {j-Diamonds} river changed anything, and Pulusani scooped the pot to double up.
