Blackwood Beats the Wheel and Triples Up

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Brett Wiliam Blackwood moved all in pre flop from late position for 22,000 and was called by Arman Soltani on the button and Brian Green defended from the small blind.

The flop was {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Green led out for 10,000 but then was raised to 33,000 by Soltani.

"Well I guess you've got me beat," Green said as he mucked his {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} face up.

Soltani then tabled {a-Spades}{2-Clubs} for a flopped straight while Blackwood turned over {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a flush draw.

And there was no sweat for Blackwood as the {j-Hearts} came right on the turn, locking up the win for him as the meaningless {k-Diamonds} came on the river.

Soltani won the small sidepot and Blackwood tripled up.

Hong Gets Shove Through

Level 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Action was picked up on the turn as the board read {9-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. The pot was a big one with at least 135,000 in it already.

From middle position, Hamid Salari bet 65,000. Jinho Hong was on the button and moved all in, Steven Steinmetz folded in early position and Salari gave it up as well after thinking for a while.

Hong claimed to have had {q-Spades}{10-Spades} as the table was broken right after the hand had concluded.

Schemion Hits River to Survive

Ole Schemion

The flop read {9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Blair Eastwood jammed from the big blind and Ole Schemion quickly called from the cutoff.

Eastwood had the lead with the {j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} while Schemion was drawing with the {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. The turn was a blank {4-Spades} but the river hit Schemion as the {q-Clubs} came off and his bid to go back to back in this event stayed alive.

Greenstein Busts the Bubble

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Barry Greenstein
Barry Greenstein

Jacques Dermegreditchian three-bet to 30,000 over a 13,000 early position raise from Barry Greenstein who called.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Greenstein checked, Dermegreditchian moved all in and Greenstein snap-called. They waited to table their hands as the rest of the tables had to complete play.

Greenstein tabled the flopped boat with the {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} while Dermegreditchian had the cracked {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} to actually give the Frenchman a few more outs but the river was the {9-Spades} and the bubble was burst.
