Action Heating Up at Table 678

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

There was a series of three eventful hands Table 678:

Hand #1:

In a preflop all-in, Pavel Spirins held the {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} vs the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} of Jorge Arriola. The board ran out safely for the jacks as it came {4-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Spades} and Spirins gathered a large addition to his growing stack.

Hand #2

Dmitriy Uskach was all in preflop and saw the bad news as he ran into the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} of Dov Markowich. Uskach almost wanted to muck and leave right there as he turned over the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} with one foot out the door.

The flop came {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{k-Spades} to give Uskach the straight draw and the turn was the {q-Diamonds} to bring in that draw as Markowich hit the table in anger that his aces had been cracked. The river was the {2-Diamonds} and Markowich was left with pebbles.

Hand #3

Markowich moved all-in from early position for his remaining 68,000. Uskach called in the cutoff and Adam Hendrix also came along with a call in the small blind.

Hendrix and Uskach checked down the board as it came{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Markowich tabled the winner with the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} as Hendrix had the {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Uskach had the {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Markowich was able to triple up.

Brown Takes it Down

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Camille Brown
Camille Brown

On a heads up flop of {3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, Camille Brown in the big blind checked to her early position opponent, Eyal Eskar, who then bet 25,000.

Brown called and the two players saw the turn {9-Hearts} and action checked through.

On the {3-Diamonds} river, Brown then led out for a pot-sized bet of 70,000 and Eskar went deep into the tank.

After a good while, another player called the clock on Eskar and he was given a 30-second countdown. Eskar still had not made an action as the clock reached zero and his cards were announced dead.

"What were you leaning towards before the clock?" Brown asked him.

"Call," replied Eskar and Brown did not seem amused by another player calling the clock on her opponent.

"I was hoping you would just put the money in, I had it," Brown continued as she stacked her new chips.

Mullennex Shoves Flop

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

There was a large pot of 115,000 already in the middle from preflop action as the flop came {7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. From the big blind, Andrew Peplinski led for 48,000. Nicholas Mullennex jammed all in from the cutoff for what looked to be about 228,000.

Peplinski thought for about two minutes before he decided to let it go and send the chips over to Mullennex.

Zhu Wins Click Back War With Set Over Set

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Yueqi Zhu
Yueqi Zhu

Action was joined on the turn as it read {9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{q-Spades}. From early position Yueqi Zhu bet 45,000. Perry Friedman made a small raise to 110,000 from the hijack. Zhu slid some chips forward to what looked like a three-bet to around 170,000 and Friedman four-bet all in which Zhu quickly called.

It was a set over set situation as Friedman had the {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} but was in dire straights against the {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} of Zhu. The river was the {7-Hearts} and Friedman was eliminated.

Reddick Turns Boat for Big Double

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

David Lappin opened to 21,000 under-the-gun and Anatolii Zyrin called but then William Reddick squeezed by moving all in for 150,000. Kilmartin folded and Zrynin made the call so the cards were tabled, with Reddick at risk.

William Reddick: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Anatolii Zyrin: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

In this classic flip, the board ran out {10-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{q-Spades} which gave Reddick a full house, sevens full of jacks to win the pot for a big double up.

Melogno Adds More

Level 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Action was picked up on the river as it showed {2-Spades}{3-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Pablo Joaquin Melogno put out a bet of 110,000 and Bradley Gelbwaks instantly tossed in the one chip call.

Melogno tabled the {k-Spades}{q-Spades} for top pair which was good as Gelbwaks mucked his hand.
