Foxen Wastes No Time

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

After a raise in early position to 2,000, David Santarelli called in the hijack, so did Alex Foxen just after him in the cutoff, Alton Mendleson in the small blind, and the player in the big blind.

On a {6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop, it checked to Santarelli who announced all in for 21,000. Foxen just called but Mendelson check-raised all in from the small blind. Foxen quickly called.

David Santarelli: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Alex Foxen: {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Alton Mendleson: {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Santarelli was in trouble with just queens, just like Mendleson, with trips nine like Foxen, but without any good kicker.

The {k-Spades} gave a full house for Foxen, and Mendleson could not win. But Santarelli still played for two outs. The {4-Clubs} river was not one of them and Foxen who in just one orbit already has over 100,000.
