Degenerate Gambler's Luck Runs Out

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Ryan Depaulo
Ryan Depaulo

All-in and at-risk, popular poker vlogger Ryan Depaulo stared at the board of {7-}{q-}{6-}{2-}{j-} as his opponents tabled their hole cards for the side pot.

The first opponent showed {k-}{k-}{2-}{2-} for a set to take the hi of the side pot while the other showed {a-}{9-}{7-}{3-} for the nut low.

Depaulo then flipped his cards to show {a-}{k-}{5-}{5-} for a pair of fives and no low. He then turned his vlog camera on the dealer,

" I just want to watch you muck them" he said jokingly

As he stood up to gather his things, the rest of the table thanked him for playing in the tournament, as it was his first hi/lo event.

"I'm definitely hooked" said the 2021 WSOP No LImit Hold'em bracelet winner as he exited the tournament area.

Glaser Survives All-In vs Deeb

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Benny Glaser
Benny Glaser

Benny Glaser was all-in from the big blind and facing two potential executioners in Shaun Deeb and a player in middle position.

With a river board reading {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades}, Glaser watched as the middle position player check-called a bet from Deeb.

Deeb showed {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for the second-nut low to claim half the pot.

Glaser showed {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} for a straight to take the high half of the pot and stay alive.

The middle position player showed {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for a counterfeited low and a missed flush draw as his chips were divided up between Glaser and Deeb.

"This is where it begins!" commented Deeb, expecting Glaser to now go on a tear and claim his 5th WSOP bracelet.
