Burton Rides Strong Starting Hand to a Scoop

Level 8 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

With 5,400 chips already in the middle on a {3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} board, Colin Burton bet after checks from both Justin Andrusco and David Hoag. Both players called.

The turn brought the {3-Diamonds}. Both players checked to Burton once more before the British Columbia native bet again. Andrusco couldn't put his remaining 1,500 chips in the middle but Hoag would make the call.

With the {j-Spades} on the river, Burton bet a third time following another Hoag check and Hoag made what appeared to be a crying call after he puffed his cheeks.

Burton tabled a strong {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and scooped the pot.
