Michael Duek Eliminated in 3rd Place ($548,015)

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Michael Duek
Michael Duek

After Shiva Dudani limped his small blind and Michael Duek checked his big blind, the flop came {2-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs}, and Dudani checked.

Duek bet 750,000 from his dwindling stack and Dudani came back with a pot-sized check-raise. Duek quickly moved the rest of his chips in and put himself at risk.

Michael Duek: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Shiva Dudani: {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

Dudani held top two pair while Duek held an overpair of nines, a flush draw, and a gutshot straight draw.

Despite his many outs, Duek couldn't connect with the {a-Clubs} turn or the {j-Clubs} river to end his day in third place and send the tournament to heads-up play between Dudani and Sean Troha.
