Mateos Sends an Opponent Into the Tank With River Shove

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Adrian Mateos was in early position and heads-up on the flop with an opponent in the big blind. On a board of {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, Mateos bet 19,000 and the big blind called.

Both players checked the {2-Clubs} turn before the {10-Spades} fell on the river. The big blind checked again, and this time Mateos announced he was all in for 76,500.

His opponent went into the tank for several minutes while Mateos continued to stare straight ahead. The big blind eventually folded and the four-time bracelet winner scooped in the pot.
