Smiljkovic Scores Triple Knockout

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

A player in early position opened to 1,800 and was called by the player one seat over. The cutoff player then moved all in for 12,100 and Daniel Smiljkovic in the big blind called. The initial raiser, after some thought, re-jammed and the player one seat over with a "I shouldn't do this" made the call. Smiljkovic responded by pushing his chips into the middle with the covering stack to set up a four-way all in.

Cutoff Player: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Early Position Player: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Middle Position Player: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Daniel Smiljkovic: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

With his opponents all blocking each other to an extent, Smiljkovic had the most equity heading to the flop. The flop came {6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} giving the middle position player, who by his own admission had made a light call, the nut flush draw and the best opportunity to take down a huge pot. The {5-Hearts} turn changed nothing, with the middle position player asking "for a club, one time". His one time was used in vain, however, as the {10-Hearts} river completed the board, propelling Smiljkovic into what is likely the chiplead as well as sending three $3,000 bounty chips his direction, meaning that, in the event that he does not cash, he will still only take a small loss on his initial investment. Smiljkovic is on something of a heater after final tabling the Wynn Summer Classic $3,500 NLH Championship earlier this week.
