Cheong Doubles Through Sanchez

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

Diego Sanchez, fresh off a deep run in the Wynn Summer Classic $3,500 NLH Championship, opened from under the gun and Joseph Cheong pushed his short stack into the pot from middle position. Action folded back around to Sanchez who made the call to put Cheong at risk.

Joseph Cheong: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Diego Sanchez: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

Cheong, though at risk, was in a good spot to get a double up and give himself some more playability. The {k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop pushed him even further in front but the {10-Diamonds} turn did give Sanchez a gutshot. It did not come in on the {9-Clubs} river and Cheong scooped the pot.
