Munroe Gets There for All the Chips

Level 14 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

After the flop was checked through, a three-way turn board of {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} saw the small blind check, the early position player bet 18,000, and Gavin Munroe in late position call. The small blind then check-raised to 43,000, which forced the early position player to fold but saw a call from Munroe.

The river was the {q-Hearts} which double- paired the board, to which the small blind check to Munroe. After a few seconds, Munroe raised to all but one chip that he kept back for safe keeping. This sent his opponent deep into the tank for a good while, clearly distressed about his decision.

Eventually he made the call and after Muroe confirmed that it was technically a riase he threw in his last chip to call and tabled {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for top full house. His opponent threw in his cards face down but since it was technically an all-in he had to show his hand so the dealer tabled {j-Spades}{8-Spades} for the smaller boat.

Munroe raked in the large pot as his opponent was eliminated from the tournament.
