Aerts Gets Paid on the River

Level 9 : 0/0, 1,200 ante

In a five-way limped pot, the dealer fanned the flop of {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs} and the action checked around. The {9-Clubs} landed on the turn and Pieter Aerts finally took a stab at the pot with a bet of 7,000 on the button. Shohei Kamitani was the only player to call from the cutoff.

The {7-Diamonds} completed the board and Kamitani checked again. Aerts flicked in a bet of 15,000 and Kamitani paid him off. Aerts showed {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for trip eights and was awarded the pot.
