Smith Calls for a Chop

Level 26 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Dan Smith opened to 20,000 on the button and Jonathan Jaffe three-bet to 90,000 in the big blind. Smith four-bet to 240,000 and Jaffe just called. The flop fell {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Jaffe led out with a bet of 48,000 which Smith called.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and Jaffe fired out another bet of 110,000. Smith still called and the {5-Spades} completed the board with a straight. Jaffe announced all in, putting Smith to the test for his remaining 745,000 chips. Smith counted out his stack and then made the call.

Jaffe tabled {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} while Smith showed {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} and each player played the straight on the board to chop the pot.
