Ivey Spikes River King to Eliminate Puustinen

Phil Ivey is into the second round after taking down 2021 semi-finalist Henri Puustinen.

After whittling down Puustinen to his remaining 28,000 chips, Ivey was on the right side of an all-in preflop flip to punch his ticket to the round-of-32.

Puustinen raised to 5,000, Ivey moved all-in and was snap-called. Ivey turned over {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} while Puustinen showed {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

The flop came {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. The {9-Clubs} turn gave Ivey a flush draw that he didn't need as he spiked the {k-Diamonds} to send Puustinen packing.
