Silva Scares Wade

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

After a raise from Corey Wade in early position, Jon Smitson announced "pot". Action came to Silva and he announced all in for 385,000. Wade thought about that hand for a moment, but finally folded.

Jon Smitson: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Luiz Silva: {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}

The two players had almost similar hands, but a player on the table just said this before the dealer proposed a flop "Hey, do not forget he's Brazilian..."

The board came {4-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Silva took three-quarters from his opponent. Wade mentioned that he had 2-3.

"My plan was to scare you away", said Silva, "and looked like it worked."
