Lendvai Finds a Caller

Level 38 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Tamas Lendvai had already moved all in at least four times prior to this hand, but had yet to get a call on any of his shoves, raising and pumping his fist in triumph after getting no action and scooping the pot of blinds and antes each time.

After Jon Van Fleet opened from the cutoff for 2,000,000, Lendvai jammed for 11,200,000 in the small blind. Action folded back around to Van Fleet, who made the call.

Tamas Lendvai: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Jon Van Fleet: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Lendvai was ahead, and the {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts} runout changed neither player's hand. Lendvai scooped the pot and doubled his stack.

Van Fleet's Bluff Gets Through

Level 38 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Abdullah Alshanti opened to 2,000,000 from the cutoff, getting calls from Daniel Marcus on the button and Jon Van Fleet in the big blind.

The {3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop was checked through, before Alshanti fired 1,800,000 on the {q-Hearts} turn. Marcus folded and Van Fleet began counting chips. After carefully removing and adding chips to get his raise size just right, he pushed 7,300,000 into the middle. Alshanti thought for a bit, before making the laydown. Van Fleet sat there with a huge grin on his face as he stacked his chips back up.

"That was a bluff," Alshanti said to him, seemingly half asking and half stating for a known fact.

"Yeah it was," Van Fleet responded, sending himself and the table into uproarious laughter.

Tsuf Saltsberg Eliminated in 7th Place ($46,347)

Level 38 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Tsuf Saltsberg
Tsuf Saltsberg

After posting the big blind and ante, Tsuf Saltsberg was left with just a single 100,000 chip.

Tamas Lendvai limped from the hijack, and Daniel Marcus limped from the small blind.

The {5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop was checked through before Lendvai fired for 2,000,000 on the {6-Spades} turn. Marcus folded and Saltsberg tossed in his remaining chip.

Tsuf Saltsberg: {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Tamas Lendvai: {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Lendvai had Saltsberg dominated with his straight, but Saltsberg could still survive with a nine on the river for a chop pot. Instead, the {5-Diamonds} river improved Lendvai to a flush, and awarded him the pot. Saltsberg was eliminated in 7th place for a cash of $46,347, the biggest score of his career.

Level 38 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Action started when Tsuf Saltsberg opened from early position to 2,000,000. It folded to Frank Reichel in the small blind who moved all in for 13,000,000 and Saltsberg snap-called.

Frank Reichel: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Tsuf Saltsberg: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Reichel was in need of a lot of help being up against the rockets of Saltsberg. The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{q-Clubs}, giving Reichel trip tens and shocked the table with the cooler of a hand.
