Seven Card Stud

Philip Sternheimer: {4-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}/{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Dan Cates: {7-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{4-Hearts}/{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Matthew Ashton: {x-}{x-}/{a-Clubs}{2-Spades} - folded fourth street

From his short stack, Philip Sternheimer defended his bring-in versus a completion from Matthew Ashton and a call from Dan Cates.

Picking up an ace on fourth street, Cates led out and was only called by Sternheimer.

Cates then paired his ace on fifth street and bet again. Sternheimer raised to commit himself to the pot, leaving only 20,000 behind.

Cates just called, but put in the last 20,000 on sixth street, as did Seternheimer, with Cates revealing he made his ace-high flush on sixth street, and that Sternheimer was drawing dead, as the {a-Clubs} had been folded by Ashton earlier in the hand.
