Schreiber and Cates Chop It Up

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

Dan Cates: {x-}{x-} / {6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Spades} / {x-}
Matthew Schreiber: {x-}{x-} / {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} / {x-}

Dan Cates completed and called a raise from Matthew Schreiber. Schreiber bet on fourth street and Cates called. The pair both checked fifth street and Schreiber bet on sixth street. Again, Cates called.

On seventh street Schreiber checked and then announced "Eight low and two sevens" briefly exposing {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

"I didn't check yet," said Cates, but he checked behind nevertheless with {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for a better low and secured himself half the pot.
