Ace on the River for Team Manole

Level 10` : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

After a series of raises, a player had jammed for 28,600 in the big blind and Mihai Manole of Team Manole moved all-in for 41,700. A player in late position who had 5,000 already in the pot thought about it for quite a while and slammed the chips down to make the call.

Mihai Manole: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Big Blind: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Late Position: {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The dealer fanned a flop of {j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}, pairing the late position's five but the big blind was still in the lead with a pair of eights. The {3-Spades} landed on the turn for Manole to pick up a gutshot straight with his two overcards and the {a-Diamonds} on the river meant he had more than doubled up while eliminating the big blind from the tournament.
