Salazar Wins A Weird One

Level 29 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Aden Salazar
Aden Salazar

Pot-Limit Omaha

Action was picked up on the flop four ways with Cody Rich in the small blind, Dante Goya in the big blind, Aden Salazar in first position and Fred Goldberg in the cutoff.

The board read {3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Rich led out for 500,000 which only Salazar and Goldberg called.

The turn {4-Diamonds} saw Rich check to Salazar who bet 1,150,000 and Fred Goldberg after some time said "alrighty let's go!" and put in one stack of 5,000 chips. The floor was called over after debate whether it should be ruled as a call or not, given that the bet did not put Goldberg all in, and many players voiced their opinions.

After the floor confirmed it was just a call, Rich folded his hand and the river {j-Spades} saw both players check. Salazar turned over {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for three fours which was good enough to beat Goldberg as he tossed his hand into the muck after flashing {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Rich slammed the table after saying he folded a straight while Salazar took down the pot.
