Joao Simao

Pot-Limit Omaha

The board already read {6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{a-Clubs} with more than 300,000 in the pot when Joao Simao bet 185,000 from the small blind seat. Joni Jouhkimainen, on the button, opted to raise it to 780,000. After some thinking, Simao called.

The river {6-Spades} completed the board and Simao thought about his move for a minute before announcing a bet of 1,200,000, putting Jouhkimainen into a decision.

Jouhkimainen ended up folding, showing only {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}, and Simao grabbed the big pot and flashed {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

Meradoc Scores a Double Knockout

Level 21 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Jaspal Brar shoved in middle position for 105,000 and Vasil Medarov called on the button. After some consideration, Philip Wiszowaty called as well in the big blind.

The flop was {q-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and Wiszowaty bet 150,000, with around 220,000 chips left behind. Medarov announced all in and Wiszowaty called to create a three-way showdown.

Jaspal Brar: {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Philip Wiszowaty: {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Vasil Medarov: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Medarov had the best kicker and the {3-Clubs} turn and {6-Hearts} river didn't change anything, giving the winning hand to Medarov and eliminating his two opponents.
