Former PokerNews Editor-in-Chief Done and Dusted

Level 27 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Donnie Peters
Donnie Peters

The elimination of former PokerNews Editor-in-Chief Donnie Peters, an industry veteran who now works for PokerGO, went uncaptured when it happened, but he was kind enough to share some details after the fact.

As he told it, he moved all in under the gun for 860,000 holding the {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and a player in late position moved all in over the top for 1.1 million with the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

Peters was looking to win the race, but that proved easier said than done as the flop fell {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades} to pair his opponent. Neither the {10-Hearts} turn nor {q-Diamonds} river delivered salvation for Peters and he made his way to the payout desk.
