Koon Gets Short, Then Doubles

Level 10 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Phil Ivey opened to 65,000 from under the gun and Jason Koon defended from the big blind. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} and Koon checked to Ivey who continued for 45,000. Koon check-raised to 130,000 and Ivey called.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and Koon checked again. Ivey tossed in a bet of 150,000 and Koon called to see the {a-Hearts} on the river. Koon checked for the third time and Ivey shipped all in, prompting a quick fold from Koon.

On the next hand, David Peters raised it up on the button and Koon moved all in for around 450,000. Peters snap-called and tabled {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} but was in tough against the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} of Koon. The board ran out clean for Koon who managed to stay alive late in the day.
