Mori Gets There With Big Slick

Level 27 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Rodney Mori was looking at an all in of 3,200,000 from the button, and it didn't take him any time at all to call from the small blind.

Button: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Rodney Mori: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The flop was {9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, and the button smiled wide, with his pocket jacks for two pair out in front of the over cards Mori was holding.

Mori had the button covered, but not by much. Nothing changed on the {4-Hearts} turn, but Mori seemed unfazed and hopeful.

An audible clap from the player on the button could be heard as the {k-Hearts} hit the river, giving Mori the better two pair. The button tapped the table and wished everyone good luck.

Meadows On a Heater

Level 27 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Edward Meadows raised from early position and was called by a player in the cutoff.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} and Meadows checked to his opponent who bet 500,000. Meadows called.

Both players checked on the {7-Clubs} turn.

The river brought the {10-Spades} and Meadows led out for 400,000. His opponent called. Meadows showed {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for two pair while his opponent showed {4-}{4-} for the loser as Meadows moved to over 7,000,000 from his 1,100,000 stack at the start of the day.

Martinez KO's Simao

Level 27 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Isidro Martinez bet 225,000 and was called by a player in early position. Joao Simao on the button moved all-in for 2,200,000. Martinez made the call and all of the other players got out of the way.

Joao Simao: {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Isidro Martinez: {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Martinez couldn't bear to look and walked away from the table when the flop of {j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} hit the felt. Martinez was celebrating when the {q-Spades} left Simao drawing dead as he hit a boat. The inconsequential {7-Hearts} completed the board as the experienced Brazillian headed to the rail.

Pocket Queens For Downing

Level 26 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Both hands were needed for the player in the small blind to shove all in for 4,800,000, after the button bet 850,000.

Raymond Downing wasn't deterred, jamming the biggest stack at the table from late position, leaving the button with his toughest decision of the tournament. He elected to get out of the way, and we were heads up to a flop.

Small Blind: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Raymond Downing: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Downing was ahead with the pocket pair, and the flop {4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} fell in his favor, giving him two pair over his opponent playing the board with ace high.

The small blind would need an ace from space, but instead it was the {4-Hearts}.

When the {4-Clubs} made a full house on the board, a player not involved in the hand was heard saying, "Chop!".

The dealer patted the queens full of Downing, signifying his full house was best, and took some time pushing one of the biggest pots yet his way.

On another table, Isidro Martinez improved his already large stack to climb to 15,000,000.

Conners Hits A Sick Run Out

Level 26 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Clifford Conners jammed from under the gun for roughly 1,000,000. He was called by a middle position player for around 900,000 all in, and action folded round.

Middle Position: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Clifford Conners: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The flop landed ace high, {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, giving Conners his three outer.

However, the turn had his opponent fist pumping as it landed {k-Clubs}.

The excitement wasn't over. The {8-Clubs} came on the river for Conner's back door flush, eliminating the Kings and effectively doubling up Conners.

"That's what I get for celebrating", said the middle position player as he exited.

Elsewhere in the tournament, Isidro Martinez has been slowly grinding up and surpasses the 12,000,000 mark for a top three chip stack.
