Mistelske Takes Down Pot Following Confusion on the Flop

Level 7 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With around 15,000 in the pot and three players in the hand, the flop came {q-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}. The hijack lead for 3,300. A player from the blinds folded, bringing action to Dustin Mistelske in middle position. He called, but the board now read just {q-Spades}{10-Spades}.

The players and dealer looked at each other in confusion. When the previous player folded, the {4-Hearts} had accidentally been scooped into the muck. The table began trying to find a solution. Nobody was positive of what the mucked card had been, but the table was in consensus that it was a small red card. After a few minutes of confusion and deliberation, the dealer carefully looked through the muck and found the missing card, returning the {4-Hearts} to the board.

The {6-Clubs} came on the turn. Mistelske led for 8,500, earning a snap-fold from the hijack, scooping the pot in the process. The accidental muck proved inconsequential and the players at the table had a good laugh about it.
