Inderrieden Hits Flush to Double Up

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Eric Inderrieden found himself all in and had to let the cards decide his fate.

Eric Inderrieden: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Opponent: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

The flop came {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} to give Inderrieden flush outs in addition to his two overs.

The {8-Diamonds} had his opponent drawing dead, giving Inderrieden a full double back to just under 500,000. The {5-Hearts} completed the board.

Titeca Wins Big and Celebrates Bigger

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Action was picked up with a board of {j-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} already on the board. There was around 425,000 in the pot and just two players remained in the hand.

Pierre Titeca moved all in for 210,000 from the small blind. After doing so, he stood up from his chair to watch the rest of the action. After just a moment or two, his opponent made the call. Titeca hastily threw {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} on the table, asking "Jacks or kings?" of his opponent, expecting to be behind after the call was made.

"You got me beat," his opponent responded as he turned over {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Titeca now went down to his knees to watch the dealing of the river, resting his head on his arms on the edge of the table.

The {4-Hearts} came on the river, locking up the pot for Titeca. He shot right up off the ground, shouting "YES! YES!" as he pumped his fists in celebration, pacing a few steps away and back to the table. He scooped the pot in jubilation, as he had doubled his stack, now well above the average.

John Ghrist: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
James Clarke: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Terzian Busted By Black

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

It was a sad Dominique Terzian who just gave the bad news. He has been eliminated from this tournament by Jali Black.

The Frenchman explained that he was down to 120,000, he went all in with jack-ten, and was finally called by ace-nine by Black.

While Dominique Terzian is ready to collect his prize, Jali Black is back now to 450,000.

Scalamogna Back in Business

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

A player in late position opened for 40,000 and was called by the cutoff, the small blind, and Domenico Scalamogna in the big blind.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{k-Spades} and it checked all the way to the cutoff who put out a half-pot bet of 85,000. The small blind and Scalamogna called, with the late-position player getting out of the way.

All three players would tap the table on the {q-Diamonds} turn.

On the {6-Hearts} river, Scalamogna put in his final 125,000 chips. The cutoff folded and the small blind shrugged and called.

Scalamogna said "two pair" and turned over {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, showing he had flopped top pair and a flush draw and improved to two pair on the river.

Scalamogna nearly tripled up, starting the hand with 250,000 in chips and finishing with 680,000.

Just two seats to the left of Scalamogna, Barry Shulman is still hanging around, sitting on roughly 350,000 in chips.

Reverse Sykology Gets Liebert to Lay it Down

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Action was picked up after Kathy Liebert had fired for 50,000 from the button. Shelton Sykes, the big blind, moved all in for 450,000. Liebert then went into the tank.

"I'm thinking about folding," she shared, "not really a folding hand though. Actually, this is the only hand I could fold here."

"I'll show you" Sykes told her.

"I was going to jam. I almost opened jammed," said Liebert.

"I got a great hand," Sykes said matter of factly.

"Is it ace king great?"

"That's not a great hand."

"Ace king isn't a great hand?" responded Liebert. "He's actually talking me out of it. But why would he say all this?" Eventually, she had made up her mind. "I'm gonna fold," she said, before moving her hand towards the dealer. Sykes turned over {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

"Is that not a great hand?" said Sykes.

"You had me," Liebert told him, "Against ace king I'm flipping. Against queens I'm behind."

Ives Scores Huge Double Knockout

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
David Ives
David Ives

We caught the action with three players, including David Ives who covered his two opponents. One player had over 400,000 in chips while the other had around 300,000.

Opponent 1: {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Opponent 2: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
David Ives: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop had Ives maintain his lead, though his opponents would pick up additional outs to a win.

The {6-Spades} turn changed nothing, while the {q-Diamonds} river gave Ives a full house and knocked out both of his opponents.

Erika Weinstein is part of the last eliminations. Her last hand, she played it with only 100,000 chips in front of her. Thomas Burri called to try for the knock-out.

Erika Weinstein: {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Thomas Burri: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The board came {5-Spades}{k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Weinstein could not do anything, she was eliminated.

"But the big pot came earlier, against this same player. I had ace-queen, I raised to 4,800 and he moved all in for 260,000. I finally called, he had ace-jack and hit a jack! After that, I survived as long as I could", she commented.

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

After a raise to 55,000 from Alexander Hill in early position, David Hoote announced all in for 235,000 in middle position. It was Danny Hagar's turn to act and he quickly announced all in for almost 800,000.

Alexander Hill thought about it for a moment before folding face up, revealing {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. Then it was to showdown for the two all-in players.

David Hoote: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
