Liebert Stays Hot

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Action folded around to Kathy Liebert on the button. She put in a raise to 300,000. Brian Topp, the small blind, thought for a moment before moving all in.

"I'm gonna need a count" Liebert told the dealer. That count came to 1,565,000. "So 1.2 more. I got 13, and that's 1.2 more. I think I can afford that," Liebert said to herself. "What do you think?" she asked Topp, not really looking for an answer. "I'm feeling lucky. I can afford it." Liebert repeated as she counted out her calling chips and put them in the middle.

Brian Topp: {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Kathy Liebert: {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

Liebert was ahead, and the {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Hearts} runout offered no help to Topp. Liebert scooped the pot while Topp headed for the rail.

"Lotta punting going on," Liebert said after the hand. "I thought he had two overs. I thought I'd be a slight favorite or flipping, I didn't expect to be a big favorite."
