Butler Serves Up River Flush, Ends Block Party

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

With 350,000 already in the middle on a {3-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop, Keith Block continued for 105,000. Steven Butler, in the small blind, made a 330,000-chip raise. Block went all in for 1,600,000 total and Butler shrugged his shoulders and made the call.

Keith Block: {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Steven Butler: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Block's top pair was about a 53% favorite against Butler's ace-high flush draw, which also had plenty of backdoor straight outs.

While the {6-Diamonds} turn gave Butler more outs on the river, it took away his potential straight outs and made him a 32% underdog.

However, the odds were in his favor as the {q-Hearts} arrived on the river, shoving a large pot Butler's way and eliminating Block.
