Scalamogna Back in Business
A player in late position opened for 40,000 and was called by the cutoff, the small blind, and Domenico Scalamogna in the big blind.
The flop came and it checked all the way to the cutoff who put out a half-pot bet of 85,000. The small blind and Scalamogna called, with the late-position player getting out of the way.
All three players would tap the table on the turn.
On the river, Scalamogna put in his final 125,000 chips. The cutoff folded and the small blind shrugged and called.
Scalamogna said "two pair" and turned over , showing he had flopped top pair and a flush draw and improved to two pair on the river.
Scalamogna nearly tripled up, starting the hand with 250,000 in chips and finishing with 680,000.
Just two seats to the left of Scalamogna, Barry Shulman is still hanging around, sitting on roughly 350,000 in chips.
