Ness Hits Unlikely River, Enjoys Huge Surge

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

With 14,400 already in the pot on an {8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} four-way flop, Dan Ness shoved for his final 15,300 chips from early position. A player in late position called and while the button folded, the small blind then shoved over the top for around 60,000.

The late position player, who had a very healthy stack himself and had the small blind plenty covered, agonized over the decision for about a minute before letting his cards hit the muck and flinging his lost 15,300 chips into the middle.

Dan Ness: {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Small Blind: {4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

While Ness had top-top, the small blind flopped bottom two pair to go way out in front.

The {k-Hearts} turn provided Ness with additional two-pair outs. However, he didn't need them as the {8-Clubs} hit the river to make trip eights and send Ness all the way to over 60,000.
