"Uncle Ron" Sends One Out

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Mason "Uncle Ron" Hinkle and an opponent were all in preflop for his opponent's last 90,000.

All-In Player: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Mason Hinkle: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

It was a classic flip, but the drama was taken out when the flop came {q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, giving Hinkle a set of sevens.

"Going to be hard to beat that," his opponent said as he got up out of his seat and prepared to make his exit.

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and the all-in player made a pair on the river, but it was too little, too late as he joined the post-bubble bustouts.

Gatta Gets the Knockout

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Nelio Gatta
Nelio Gatta

Nelio Gatta open shoved 123,000 from middle position. Action folded to the big blind, who thought long and hard before calling off with the effective stack for their tournament life.

Big Blind Player: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
Nelio Gatta: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Gatta had his opponent dominated and looked set to get the knockout. The {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{q-Spades} all but sealed the deal and the {a-Diamonds} turn ended matters, though Gatta did fill up on the {q-Clubs} river.

Ribeiro Spikes the River to Double

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Anthony Ribeiro moved all in for his last 98,000 from early position. In the small blind, bracelet winner Harrison Gimbel re-shoved and the big blind got out of the way.

Anthony Ribeiro: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}
Harrison Gimbel: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Gimbel had Ribeiro dominated and stayed in front as the board came {3-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, but the river brought the {9-Clubs} and a double up to Ribeiro. Gimbel reacted to the bad beat by calmly handing over most of his stack.

Father-Son Sporting Same Stack

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

"Want to see something creepy," Greg Margers said as he got a text message from son Tavish, who is also still alive in the tournament.

Tavish had messaged his dad to tell him he was sitting on a stack of 101,000. Father Greg happens to have the exact same 101,000 in his stack as the Father's Day bet they made is still very much in the air.

Hufty Puts Pressure on Wong

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Jordan Hufty and Jerry Wong have two massive stacks and just tangled in a pot where Hufty forced Wong out on the river.

Heads up to a flop of {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, Hufty bet 62,000 from the big blind and Wong called on the button. Both players checked the {a-Clubs} turn.

After the {2-Spades} came on the river, Hufty assembled a bet of 185,000 and pushed it into the middle. Wong stared down his opponent and played with his chips for several minutes before deciding to fold, falling down to around 390,000 which is still significantly more than the one big blind he had after dinner.

Dimmig Gets a Fold

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Jonathan Dimmig
Jonathan Dimmig

A player in early position opened to 22,000 and action folded around to Jonathan Dimmig on the button, who three-bet to 57,000. The blinds got out of the way and the original raiser made the call to send the two players heads up to the flop.

The early-position player checked on a flop of {5-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Dimmig continued for 37,000. His opponent, after lengthy consideration, made the call.

The {8-Diamonds} turn saw the early-position player check for a second time and Dimmig, in no mood to slow down, fired off another bet, this time sizing up to 60,000. The player in early position went into the tank but eventually laid down her hand to send a large pot Dimmig's way.
