Stidham Does the Damage, Marcus Finishes Off Hellmuth

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Phil Hellmuth was all in for 4,000 from the big blind. A player in early position raised to 16,000 before Daniel Marcus shoved for 37,000 and was called.

Marcus showed {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}, Hellmuth {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, and the early position raiser {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

The {q-Hearts} in the window gave Marcus a set as the board ran out with {3-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. Marcus doubled up while also eliminating Hellmuth.

"He gets credit for the knockout, but I did the damage," Richard Stidham said following the hand, relating that he won a flip with two sevens against Hellmuth's ace-king a few hands earlier.
