Pizzi Triples Up

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Walter Pizzi knocked out a player early on Level 1, but just found himself all in for his tournament life.

Pizzi jammed his short stack over the top of an initial raise and another player cold-called. The original raiser then re-raised all in, forcing out the other player.

Pizzi showed {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} but needed to improve against his opponent's {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}. He got the help he needed on the {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop, improving to a pair of aces, and his hand held up as the board ran out {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} to secure a triple up.
