Henry Reyes Eliminated in 8th Place ($28,802)

Level 38 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Henry Reyes
Henry Reyes

Chris Moorman opened to 2,000,000 from middle position and was called by Henry Reyes out of the big blind.

Reyes bet 2,000,000 into the preflop raiser on a flop of {7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. Moorman responded with a raise to 5,000,000, prompting Reyes to go into the tank. After about a minute Reyes announced all in and Moorman snap-called to put Reyes at risk.

Henry Reyes: {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Chris Moorman: {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

Both players made top pair on the flop but Moorman was ahead with the superior kicker. Nothing changed on the {j-Hearts} turn or {7-Diamonds} river, forcing Reyes out of the tournament in eighth place for $28,802.

Reyes Flops It

Level 38 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Henry Reyes
Henry Reyes

Henry Reyes shoved in the small blind for 6,000,000 and Sebastien Guidez called in the big blind.

Henry Reyes: {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Sebastien Guidez: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The dealer spread a flop of {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, smashing Reyes with a flopped straight and a flush draw. The {9-Hearts} hit the turn and the {a-Diamonds} completed the board for Reyes to double through Guidez.

Espinar Stays Alive

Level 38 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Elven Espinar
Elven Espinar

Chris Moorman opened to 2,000,000 from middle position and Elven Espinar called from the cutoff. The button and blinds got out of the way to send the two players heads-up to the flop.

Moorman led out on the {7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop and Espinar promptly moved all in. Moorman, with the larger stack, snap called to put Espinar at risk.

Elven Espinar: {a-Spades}{8-Spades}
Chris Moorman: {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Moorman was ahead with top pair top kicker but Espinar had an open ended straight draw. He wasted little time hitting that draw on the {10-Hearts} turn, leaving Moorman drawing to an unlikely chop. The {2-Clubs} ensured there would be no chop, handing Espinar a full double up.

Daniel Marcus
Daniel Marcus

Daniel Marcus raised to 2,000,000 in the hijack and Chris Moorman shoved for about 14,000,000 on the button. The action folded back around to Marcus and he called for about 13,000,000.

Daniel Marcus: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Chris Moorman: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}

Marcus was looking for a nine to stay alive but the board ran out {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}, knocking him out in ninth place for $22,512.

Moorman Check-Raises the Flop

Level 37 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Chris Moorman
Chris Moorman

David Perry raised to 2,400,000 in early position and Chris Moorman defended the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Moorman checked to Perry who continued for 2,200,000. Moorman thought about it for a few seconds and pushed a pile of chips across the line, leaving just 1,000,000 behind.

Perry asked for a count and once the dealer told him it was 8,500,000 he went into the tank.

"What are you leaving those chips for?" He asked Moorman who remained silent.

A few more seconds went by and Perry tossed his cards into the muck.

Robert Pettit Eliminated in 10th Place ($17,741)

Level 37 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Robert Pettit
Robert Pettit

Daniel Marcus opened from early position and action folded around to Robert Pettit in the small blind, who shoved all in. Marcus snap called with the larger stack to put Pettit at risk.

Robert Pettit: {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Daniel Marcus: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

Pettit had run right into the rockets of Marcus and as a result was drawing very thin. The {8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} flop changed nothing, except to give Pettit a glimmer of hope with a potential backdoor straight. It was not to be, however, after the {4-Clubs} turn left Pettit drawing dead to the {5-Hearts} river. Pettit just misses out on a spot at the official final table but does take home $17,741 for his efforts.
