Eichhorn Doubles Through Espinar

Level 39 : 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante
Daniel Eichhorn
Daniel Eichhorn

Elven Espinar raised to 2,400,000 on the button and Daniel Eichhorn three-bet all in for 6,700,000. Espinar tanked for about a minute before saying, "Let's go, F*** it" and splashed the chips into the pot.

Daniel Eichhorn: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}
Elven Espinar: {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

The dealer spread a flop of {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and the {k-Diamonds} hit the turn, giving Espinar a flush draw to go along with his two live cards but the {a-Clubs} on the river paired Eichhorn as he sealed a double-up.

Elven Espinar Eliminated in 7th Place ($37,148)

Level 39 : 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante
Elven Espinar
Elven Espinar

Chris Moorman raised to 2,400,000 in the hijack and Elven Espinar three-bet jammed for 4,000,000 in the cutoff. The action quickly folded back to Moorman and he made the call.

Elven Espinar: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Chris Moorman: {q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

Espinar was ahead with ace-high and the flop of {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} kept him with the lead. The {10-Spades} hit the turn, giving Moorman a gutshot straight and the {8-Hearts} landed on the river pairing Moorman's eight to eliminate Espinar in seventh place for $37,148.

Phong Than Nguyen Eliminated in 6th Place ($48,299)

Level 39 : 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante
Phong Than Nguyen
Phong Than Nguyen

Phong Than Nguyen limped from the small blind and Chris Moorman shoved all in from the big blind. Nguyen snap-called for his tournament life.

Phong Than Nguyen: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Chris Moorman: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}

The two were locked in a classic race but Nguyen pulled far ahead on the {2-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop and stayed in front after the {a-Clubs} turn. However, just as he was about to count out his stack for a full double, the {4-Diamonds} came out of nowhere on the river to dash Nguyen's hopes of a first WSOP bracelet in gut wrenching fashion, forcing him instead to settle for sixth place and $48,299.

Perry Chipping Up

Level 39 : 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante
David Perry
David Perry

After taking down a pot against Chris Moorman the previous hand and showing {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds} on the {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades} board, David Perry was right back in the action against Moorman.

Chris Moorman raised to 2,700,000 in the small blind and David Perry came along in the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of {9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Moorman continued for 2,500,000. Perry wasted no time making the call.

The {2-Diamonds} hit the turn and Moorman bet 6,300,000. As soon as Moorman let go of the chips Perry announced all in. Moorman snap-folded and Perry showed {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for top pair on the flop.

Sebastien Guidez Eliminated in 5th Place ($63,302)

Sebastien Guidez
Sebastien Guidez

Josh Prager opened from the cutoff and Sebastien Guidez moved all in on the button. Action folded back around to Prager who made the call to put Guidez at risk.

Sebastien Guidez: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Josh Prager: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Guidez was dominated and would need a lot of help to survive. No help came on the {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop but the {7-Diamonds} turn did give Guidez some chop outs. He could not hit any of his outs on the {5-Hearts} river, however, ending his run in fifth place, a result good for $63,302.

Josh Prager Eliminated in 4th Place ($83,623)

Level 40 : 1,000,000/1,500,000, 1,500,000 ante
Josh Prager
Josh Prager

Chris Moorman raised to 3,000,000 and Josh Prager called in the big blind.

On the {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop, both players checked to see the {k-Diamonds} turn. Prager checked to Moorman who put out a bet of 4,500,000 and Prager raised all in and Moorman snap-called his 22,200,000.

Chris Moorman: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Josh Prager: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Moorman had flopped a set of jacks but it was far from over as Prager had an open-ended straight and flush draw. The {9-Clubs} river was a brick though, sending the massive pot to Moorman and leaving Prager with just 600,000 in chips.

Prager won the following two hands to bring his stack to 3,300,000 when he shoved all in under the gun and Daniel Eichhorn called in the big blind.

Josh Prager: {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Daniel Eichhorn: {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}

The board ran out {j-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}, giving Eichhorn a straight and Prager was eliminated in fourth place for $83,623.

Daniel Eichhorn Eliminated in 3rd Place ($111,341)

Level 40 : 1,000,000/1,500,000, 1,500,000 ante
Daniel Eichhorn
Daniel Eichhorn

Daniel Eichhorn shoved for 8,900,000 out of the small blind and Chris Moorman, after asking for an exact count, made the call in the big blind.

Daniel Eichhorn: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Chris Moorman: {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Eichhorn was ahead but at risk with his opponent holding two live cards. The {9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} vaulted Moorman into the lead, pairing his nine and rendering a queen useless for Eichhorn. The {q-Clubs} turn gave Moorman a straight and left Eichhorn hoping for one of the three remaining tens to chop the pot. The {7-Hearts} did not deliver a miracle for Eichhorn, instead sending him to the rail in third place, though when asked he said he was happy with the $111,341 score.

Perry Shoves the River

Level 40 : 1,000,000/1,500,000, 1,500,000 ante
David Perry
David Perry

On a flop of {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} David Perry checked to Chris Moorman, who led out for 3,000,000 and was called.

The {7-Clubs} turn saw Perry take over the betting leading, firing off 5,200,000. It was not enough to get Moorman to fold his hand and the two players went to the river.

Perry wasted little time before announcing all in on the {6-Diamonds} river. "You're not afraid of a flush then," observed Moorman as he pondered his decision. After some time, he did make the lay down and Perry showed {7-Spades}{2-Spades} for turned two pair.
