Morrison Takes One Down

Level 29 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Thomas Morrison limped from the small blind with {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. Fabian Brandes in the big blind checked with {j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} to give Morrison the nut straight and Brandes the dog-end of an open-ended straight draw. Both players checked.

The {9-Spades} turn gave Brandes the Dolly Parton straight, but Morrison bet 300,000 and was called by the German. The {k-Clubs} landed on the river and Morrison moved all in for 975,000. Brandes folded and Morrison picked up the pot.
