Yuan's Aces Improve to Full Boat on River

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

The heads-up action was picked up with 4,500 already in the pot and a board of {7-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}.

Ye Yuan fired for 2,200 from the cutoff. His opponent made the call from under the gun.

The {5-Spades} turn was checked by both players, before the {q-Hearts} river elicited a bet of 1,300 from Yuan's opponent. Yuan began counting out a raise to 7,000, and got called before his chips had even hit the felt.

"You got aces?" his opponent asked, as Yuan turned over {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} for top boat. His opponent hit the table in frustration, remarking "only two cards that could beat me," as he tossed his hand in the muck, "good hand." He did not show his own hand, but claimed to have pocket sevens for a full house of his own. Nevertheless, Yuan scooped the big early pot.
