Wasserson Extends Chip Lead

Level 17
Eric Wasserson
Eric Wasserson

On the first draw, Andrew Kelsall drew one and Eric Wasserson drew two. Kelsall bet before seeing his card.

"He's betting into me in the dark Phil [Hellmuth]," said Wasserson. "What does he think I am, an empty fucking seat?"

Wasserson called and the draws repeated. Kelsall again bet into Wasserson before receiving his cards.

"You don't have to bet," said Wasserson before calling. Kelsall stood pat and Wasserson drew one. "Oh no. I guess I'm dead," said Wasserson.

Wasserson peeled his card. "I caught a card that improved me, so I have to call."

"You win," said Kelsall after Wasserson called. Wasserson tabled {8-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} and took down the pot.
