McGowan Takes a Chunk Off Scott

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 45,000 ante

Jonathan McGowan raised to 75,000 from the button and Drew Scott defended his big blind. Both players drew one.

Scott checked over to McGowan, who continued with a bet of 150,000. Scott paused for a moment before putting in the call.

"Nine-eight," McGowan announced as Scott mucked. After the hand, McGowan admitted he thought he had five spades in his hand for a flush before double-checking to make sure one of his cards was a club.
