Two in a Row For Kruse

Level 6 : 300/600, 900 ante

Neymar created a buzz when he made an appearance in an event yesterday, but he's not the only European soccer star making an impact on the WSOP.

German national team member Max Kruse just took down two consecutive pots, one of them at the hands of Yuval Bronshtein, a former champion of this event.

Kruse raised to 1,700 and both Bronshtein on the button and the big blind called. Kruse stood pat, Bronshtein took one, and the big blind took two.

Kruse bet out again and elicited two quick folds, the big blind showing 7-6 with an ace. Kruse flashed 8-4 and took the pot with a wide smile on his face.

The next hand, Kruse raised again to 1,700 and got a call from the player in the big blind. He took one and bet out 2,700, and once again his opponent quickly mucked.
