Mermelstein Rivers Third King For Over a Million Chip Pot

Level 10 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Aaron Mermelstein
Aaron Mermelstein

There was a big three-way all in preflop.

Phil Galfond: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Spades}
Aaron Mermelstein: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Danny Hannawa: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

Danny Hanawa had the largest stack and the chance to slay two players at once. The flop came {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades} which pretty good as Hanawa had spades covered, but he would need to dodge straight draws. The turn was the {10-Diamonds} to pair the board but the river was the {k-Spades} to give Mermelstin a boat and render Hanawa's spades useless. Hanawa pounded the table in anger as the huge pot being was denied from his clutches.

Mermelstein reeled in the over 1,000,000 pot while Hannawa was left short and Galfond was busted.
