Aldridge Busts to Setup Hand for Hand Play
With just 55 players left and only 53 spots getting paid, action folded to Scott Hirsch in the cutoff who raised, leaving himself just over 3,000 behind. Ken Aldridge moved all in from the button and Ryan Leng raised enough out of the big blind to force Hirsch to call off for his tournament life.
All three players took one card on the initial draw. On the second draw, Leng stood pat while his two opponents drew another card. That pattern was repeated on the final draw and Leng showed down . Aldridge made an eight-seven with and Hirsch, prior to peeling his last card, showed . Hirsch would need to catch a seven or an eight to survive and did just that, rolling over to send Aldridge to the rail in cruel fashion just two spots off the money.
