Anderson Cannot Get There

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Action folded to Calvin Anderson in middle position who raised and received a sole call from Dale Phillips in the big blind.

Phillips drew one card on the initial draw while his opponent took two. After the draw, Phillips bet out and Anderson called.

The second draw saw Phillips again take one and Anderson two. As on the first draw, Phillips led into Anderson who this time responded with a raise, which Phillips called.

On the final draw Phillips stood pat and then bet into Anderson for a third time after he took one card. Anderson thought long and hard but ultimately decided he could not call and threw his hand away.
