Evan Sayer Eliminated in 3rd Place ($44,347)

Level 31 : 100,000/200,000, 0 ante
Evan Sayer
Evan Sayer

Action folded to Von Altizer in the small blind who raised. Evan Sayer three-bet all in from the big blind and Altizer called to put him at risk.

Altizer stood pat on the first draw while Sayer took three cards. On the second draw, Altizer again stood pat and this time Sayer drew one. The same drawing pattern was repeated on the third and final draw and Altizer flipped over {9-}{8-}{6-}{3-}{2-}. Sayer tabled {7-}{5-}{4-}{2-} and would need to catch a three, six, eight or nine. Unfortunately for him the final card was a {10-} and Sayer headed to the rail in 3rd place, an impressive run that sees him bank $44,347.

Wheel Versus Wheel

Level 30 : 80,000/160,000, 0 ante

Evan Sayer in the small blind and Von Altziner on the button were the only two players left after the third draw.

Sayer led into Altziner who responded with a raise. Far from discouraging Sayer, he came back over the top with a re-raise. Altziner then re-popped that bet and Sayer again came back over the top.

At this point, Altziner wanted to up the stakes even more but was informed by the dealer that, when only two players are left in a hand, action is capped at five bets. As a result, Altziner called and showed down {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for the wheel and Sayer, laughing, flipped over a wheel of his own to chop up the pot.
