Steinman Loses Big

Level 10 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Ian Steinman
Ian Steinman

Ian Steinman started the action with a raise to 3,000 and the player next to him three-bet to 8,000. It folded back to Steinman who called.

{k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades} landed on the flop and Steinman quickly check-called his opponent's continuation bet for 5,000. The same action happened on the {8-Hearts} turn, this time for 16,000.

The river brought the {6-Diamonds} and Steinman checked one last time. His opponent tanked for a while before firing 50,000. Steinman eventually made the call after some thinking, but only to see {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} in his opponent's hand for a set of jacks, and mucked his cards.
