Nathan Russler Eliminated in 3rd Place ($248,298)

Level 36 : 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Nathan Russler
Nathan Russler

Nathan Russler was all in with {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} against the {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} of Stefan Lehner. Russler had 3,450,000 in chips behind and would need his pocket pair to hold to stay alive.

The flop {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts} was safe, but the {k-Clubs} turned the hand on its head. He couldn't find a miracle two-outer on the {3-Diamonds} river and he exited in third place.

Miracle River Saves Lehner

Level 35 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Stefan Lehner shoved from the small blind for 6,050,000 with {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and was called in the big blind by Nathan Russler with {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The flop {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} had Lehner's rail calling for the ten-nine runout which would give him a straight. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and now his rail were calling for an eight to give both players a full house.

"Eight ball," said Lehner, as the river {8-Clubs} was dealt. Russler was in disbelief as Lehner survived and three-handed play continued.
